Transfer gossip (Weds, Jan 20): Cherries eye Leeds star Lewis Cook - Boro on Gaston Ramirez alert
Cherries boss Eddie Howe is set to table a £5m offer for the talented 18-year-old - and throw in Lee Tomlin as part of an £8m package.

Hide AdBut Leeds remain intent on keeping hold of Cook, with fellow leading light Sam Byram’s move to West Ham due to be completed today, and are likely to block any advances from the south coast club.
Tomlin, 27, has made just 10 appearances for the Cherries following a £3m summer switch from Middlesbrough - with his last league outing coming as a substitute in early November.
England under-19 international Cook, was first reported to have been a £10m target for Bournemouth earlier this month, but recently said he was keen to stay at Elland Road - with owner Massimo Cellino also stating that he was not leaving the club.

The Londoners’ bid is said to be lower than Everton’s £3.7m offer for Byram, with Leeds reluctantly forced to accept after Byram made it clear that he wanted to move to the capital.
