Norwich City v Newcastle United: Latest team news

Jack Colback will sit out Newcastle's crucial Barclays Premier League trip to Norwich on Saturday as he starts a two-game ban.

The midfielder, who was used as an emergency left-back in the 1-1 draw with former club Sunderland, picked up his 10th booking of the season and is suspended as a result, and with left-sided defenders Paul Dummett (hamstring), Massadio Haidara (knee) and Kevin Mbabu (thigh) injured, manager Rafael Benitez has a decision to make.

Goalkeeper Rob Elliot will miss the rest of the season after suffering cruciate ligament damage on Republic of Ireland duty and, with Tim Krul recovering from a similar injury, Karl Darlow will get the nod, but defender Fabricio Coloccini (calf) and midfielders Sylvain Marveaux and Gabriel Obertan are still missing.

Norwich could welcome back Nathan Redmond for their crunch Barclays Premier League meeting with fellow strugglers Newcastle.

The winger has been missing with an ankle problem, and manager Alex Neil will make a decision on Saturday over whether he is involved at Carrow Road.

Steven Naismith (hamstring) is definitely available, while Ryan Bennett is back having sat out the recent win at West Brom.
