The mural has been painted on the side of a building in The Calls, near the junction with Crown Street.
On Saturday, Kalvin Phillips took to Twitter for his first reaction to the huge mural - which also features former stars Albert Johanneson and Lucas Radebe.
He posted: "An honour to stand beside two legends, Albert Johanneson and Lucas Radebe. Thank you for the all the support. Endlessly proud to be a part of this community."
