On Saturday, Kalvin Phillips took to Twitter for his first reaction to the huge mural - which also features former stars Albert Johanneson and Lucas Radebe.

He posted: "An honour to stand beside two legends, Albert Johanneson and Lucas Radebe. Thank you for the all the support. Endlessly proud to be a part of this community."

The tweet included a picture of young Leeds United fan Shay Da Cruz in front of the mural, much to his delight.

His mum Siobhan said her son was up and ready at 8.30am in his Leeds United kit to go and get an early look at the mural.

She said Shay looks up to Kalvin as an "excellent role model on and off the pitch" and was very excited to see his picture on the star's Twitter post.
