Hide AdSummer signing Rothwell was again named on the bench for Tuesday night’s clash at Norwich but the midfielder was called for in just the 20th minute as Ilia Gruev was forced off with a knee injury.
Rothwell, on loan from Bournemouth, joined the fray with Leeds 1-0 down to a Josh Sargent penalty but Farke’s side battled back to level on the hour mark through Largie Ramazani’s second goal for the club.
Both teams then had chances to bag a winner but the contest finished all square and Rothwell believes a draw at Norwich might be seen in an even better light come the end of the campaign - despite admitting his team would have been “more ecstatic” with a victory.

Obviously we'd be more ecstatic if we got the three but we came from a goal down at a place like this where I don't think they have lost all season so it could be a point where you look back at the end of the season and say it was a good point for us.
"Watching from the side, it felt a bit of a basketball game at times, they attacked, we attacked, the boss said when I came on just try and get a bit of control in the game and just calm it down a little bit, it was a bit hectic.
"I felt we did that at stages and then I think the last 15 minutes went back to a basketball game but both teams wanted to win. As I say, good point, we will reflect, look back at it and then go again on Friday."
