'Wow', 'This team. This club.' - Leeds United fans react to 'sensational' late win over Man City
Leeds United stunned Manchester City to pick up a thrilling 2-1 victory over the Premier League leaders in Saturday’s early kick-off – and fans have been quick to react on social media.
The Whites took an unexpected lead just before half-time courtesy of a strike from Stuart Dallas, but were brought crashing back down to earth just moments later when captain Liam Cooper was shown a straight red card for a tackle on Gabriel Jesus.
As a response to going down to ten men, Marcelo Bielsa opted to take Patrick Bamford off for Pascal Struijk, and Leeds subsequently had to settle in for an attacking onslaught from the hosts.
The Elland Road outfit defended valiantly for large spells of the second half, but were eventually undone when Ferran Torres found the back of the net in the 76th minute.
Leeds were to have the final say in a fascinating contest, however, with Dallas grabbing his second deep into stoppage time to secure a famous win.
Three points means that the Whites leapfrog Arsenal and Aston Villa to move into the top half of table, with the Gunners facing bottom side Sheffield United on Sunday evening.
