'Who needs Virgil Van Dijk?' - Leeds United fans react to noticeable absence against Burnley

Pascal Struijk has replaced the injured Liam Cooper in Leeds United’s starting XI against Burnley – and fans are all asking the same question.

One noticeable absence from Marcelo Bielsa’s squad is Diego Llorente, who has appeared just once since his summer move from Real Sociedad.

Here is how some Whites fans reacted to the team news on social media:

@OliWhiteMOT93: There must be a weird alternative reality where Llorente and Forshaw are our best players.

@JamessLUFC: Who needs VVD when you’ve got Struijk.

@LUFCliam_: Struijk..great..Chris wood returns to Elland road to put 5 past us..yay

@liam_lightowler: Where’s Llorente?

@chandxn_: Llorente just needs more time I guess. Last time was rushed in so it’s better to be cautious.

@MartinKoss: Not wishing to be negative but our defence seems to get weaker.

@Bollakzoid: No Llorente at all then? Could be a big day for Casey if needed.

@wayneleedsfan: Where’s Llorente? Thought he was match fit?

@PaulWN1: Don't give away any corners and we will be sound
