It's 19 years since Leeds United thrashed Anderlecht in their own backyard and qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Alan Smith's brace, added to by Mark Viduka and Ian Harte set up a last eight encounter with Deportivo La Coruna in a famous campaign for David O'Leary's men.

The 53-year-old swapped football for cricket following his retirement in 2006. He recently wore the colours of Leeds Modernians in the Airedale & Wharfedale Senior Cricket League.

The tough-tackling midfielder stepped out of the limelight soon after retiring, though admitted he often keeps a close eye on Leeds United's results.
After gracing the Premier League stage with Leeds, Middlesbrough and Newcastle, Viduka now lives in his hometown Melbourne and coaches at Melbourne Knights.
Smith hung up his boots in 2018 and swapped life in England for the USA. He now coaches young players in Florida and enjoys a spot of surfing.
Kewell tried his hand in management but has found himself out the game since 2018 after being sacked by Notts County.
