That means top-flight clubs can start signing players from other clubs from that date onwards.

The Premier League also say that clubs playing in the 2021/22 Premier League are able to announce player signings and exits outside this window.

However, the summer transfer window for Europe's other leading leagues including La Liga, Serie A and the Bundesliga opens on Thursday, July 1.

That means signings from those leagues cannot be confirmed until July 1.

When does the window close?

The La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 windows close on the same date.

When does the season start?

The 2021-22 Premier League season starts over the weekend of August 14. That means the season will be running for two and a half weeks before the transfer window closes.

When are the fixtures out?

The fixtures for the 2021-22 Premier League season are out nice and early and will be unveiled at 9am on Wednesday, June 16 - one week after the summer transfer window opens.

The Euros start next Friday on June 11 and end with the final on Sunday, July 10. It is therefore natural to expect the higher profile movement in the division to take place after this date.

Is there a second domestic window?

Last season saw an extra 11-day domestic window in which Premier League teams were able to conduct business with EFL clubs after the closure of the international transfer window.

The Premier League has been considering such a step again but no decision has yet to be made.

What about January?

Thereafter, the 2022 January transfer window will open on Saturday, January 1 and close at 11.59pm on Monday, January 31.
