Leeds United already seem in desperate need of a win as they prepare to face West Bromwich Albion on Saturday. Daniel Farke’s side head to the Hawthorns having been dumped out of the Carabao Cup with a 3-0 defeat at home to Middlesbrough on Wednesday, a miserable evening compounded by news that Brighton & Hove Albion had triggered Georginio Rutter’s £40million release clause.
The Elland Road favourite looks set to leave and with two underwhelming performances and a raft of first-team exits in recent memory, supporters are in dire need of some optimism. They face an Albion side who lost to Fleetwood Town during the week but Carlos Corberan’s men beat QPR 3-1 in their first league game and look set for another play-off push.
Farke spoke to the media on Thursday and Leeds’ injury concerns are still minimal at this early point in the season, but West Brom have a couple more issues to contend with. Below, the YEP has rounded up the latest team news from both sides ahead of Saturday’s massive clash.

1. Daryl Dike - out
A torn achilles in February - his second such incident in the same season, on opposite ankles - has ruled the striker out for the remainder of the year. Returned to some form of training in the summer but won't be in action for a while. | Getty Images

2. Grady Diangana - doubt
Suffered a calf injury in July and has been building fitness individually, having missed the majority of pre-season. Returned to training on Thursday and could be in the squad, however. | Getty Images

3. Jed Wallace - doubt
Was initially to be out for another fortnight or so after picking up a calf issue in the latter stages of pre-season. But Corberan suggested he could return this weekend after taking part in training. | Getty Images

4. Max Wober - doubt
Daniel Farke revealed on Thursday that his defender was carrying a slight calf issue, the first fitness problem of the season for Leeds. Wober lasted about an hour against Middlesbrough and the tight turnaround makes him doubtful. | Getty Images

5. Georginio Rutter - doubt
Not injured, but Daniel Farke confirmed on Thursday a £40m move to Brighton was all but wrapped up. Still a Leeds player as things stand, however, but will almost certainly have played his last game in a Whites shirt. | Getty Images
