The head coach revealed in today's press conference that Llorente will be out for up to a month with a muscle problem, but did not disclose the exact nature of the injury.

"It's a muscular injury and he's going to be out of the team for three to four weeks," he said.

Spanish international Llorente made his first team comeback on Tuesday night against Newcastle United, but just nine minutes into the game at St James' Park he was limping off with the Leeds physios having picked up a fresh injury.

Bielsa revealed after the game that he was most concerned with Llorente's state of mind, in light of the injury problems he has suffered this season and the head coach added today that he and the rest of the club would support the player.

"We're all trying to help him and support him through this injury," he said.

Llorente has been restricted to just 91 Premier League minutes for Leeds since signing in the summer from Real Sociedad for around £22m. A groin strain picked up on international duty earlier in the second delayed his Leeds debut until December's visit to Stamford Bridge when he came off the bench on nine minutes to replace the injured Robin Koch. Llorente himself pulled up in stoppage time of that game with another injury.

A goalscoring 45-minute cameo for the Under 23s on January 18 helped him take a step towards senior involvement and he was included in the starting line-up for the first time at Newcastle, partnering Liam Cooper in the heart of Bielsa's defence.

But his early injury meant more first team action for 21-year-old defender Pascal Struijk, who has made 10 Premier League appearances this season thanks to knocks sustained by Llorente, Cooper and Robin Koch.

As for the rest of the squad and their fitness, Stuart Dallas was seen limping during the game at St James' Park but according to Bielsa there are no new injuries of a serious enough nature to keep players other than Llorente, and long-term injury victims Adam Forshaw and Koch, out of Sunday's game at Leicester City.

"After every game there is always knocks," he said.

"As the game gets closer we find out the severity and if they can play in this game. At the moment there are no players with any important injuries."
