It will be the first top flight meeting between the two teams since February 2004 following the Whites promotion as Championship title winners last summer.

Local boy Kalvin Phillips revealed ahead of the game that he had been informing his teammates at Thorp Arch about just how much the encounter means to people in West Yorkshire.

Due to current government restrictions no fans will be permitted into the stadium to take in the game as the two old foes renew rivalries in the top flight for the first in in nearly 17 years.

Klich, though, believes Bielsa's squad will be pushed on in the knowledge of the added importance for supporters over a good result in Lancashire.

"When I came to Leeds I always knew, everyone told me the biggest game is [Manchester] United," Klich said ahead of kick-off.

"It was difficult to play them when we were in the Championship but finally we are here and we can play them. Unfortunately with no fans in the stadium but there's nothing we can do about it.

"We need to go there and win. I think it will be a good game for us. We all know in football anything can happen.

"For me it is a big game but it's another Premier League game and three points to get. We need to focus on that.

"For the fans it is probably one of the biggest games of the season. We will try to win for them because I know how important it is for the fans."
