"We are Premier League!" - Leeds United Supporters Trust sends message to Marcelo Bielsa after promotion

Leeds United secured a return to the Premier League on Friday evening without kicking a ball.

Marcelo Bielsa's men sealed promotion from the Championship as Huddersfield Town defeated West Bromwich Albion.

The Whites ended a 16-year exile from the top flight with fans across the world celebrating the feat in style.

The Leeds United Supporters Trust also put out a message of thanks on behalf of their members.

"We’re immensely proud to be representing supporters’ of this fantastic club day in day out," a statement read.

"There isn’t a more passionate club and a set of fans who deserve this promotion more than us; especially after the last few years we’ve had to endure.

"Whilst many fans have witnessed promotion before, this one was special and it was great to see our future younger fan base witness this for the first time, joining the elite in the Premier League.

"We are honoured to have Marcelo Biesla leading this great club, the players have battled their hearts out week in week out on the pitch and Victor, Angus and Andrea who have made the impossible possible.

"We’ve done it, we can now start to finally enjoy it and we look forward to more ups than downs on the journey ahead.
