THE Spanish football federation have shared a heart-warming video of Leeds United defender Diego Llorente's return to the national squad after four negative coronavirus tests.

Whites centre-back Llorente tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday and had to leave the Spanish camp's training base but the 27-year-old has since returned four negative tests.

The Spanish football federation confirmed Llorente's fourth negative test on Friday evening and announced that the Whites defender had returned to the team's Las Rozas base ahead of Monday's Group E opener against Sweden.

The federation then shared a video of Llorente arriving back at the team's camp and greeted with scenes akin to a guard of honour.

Spain s players and staff lined up opposite one another and applauded as the defender was welcomed back to cheers by a squad who have suffered complications with Covid-19 but were given vaccines on Friday.

Llorente was also given a hug and pat on the back by boss Luis Enrique who now has the centre-back available for his side's Euros opener.
