Here is what our YEP Jury have had to say about Saturday afternoon’s Premier League contest,

NEIL GREWER

The last two wins ensure Leeds will not be in the bottom three at Christmas – making the wait for games after Saturday much less painful. But, with tough games over Christmas, it would be great to leave London on Saturday with a decent result, although defeat will not be a disaster. If, and it’s a big if, we can put in a Liverpool-style performance with minimal mistakes and a bit of good fortune then who knows... Our best performances have been against the better sides. I’m expecting the same side that started last week and again the use of several subs. We need another captain’s performance from Liam Cooper, the usual intensity from Tyler Adams with Joffy and Willy Gnonto used to freshen things up.

After the recent drama, I think we’d all settle for a bore draw, wouldn’t we? A trip to Spurs is another challenge but, with this the final fixture before the World Cup, Leeds will want to end on a high. United pushed them close in the same game last season and, this time, the hosts are without one half of their striking duo in Son.

Obviously, though, that doesn’t mean Leeds can relax. Harry Kane will want to end this chapter of the season in form before he heads off to Qatar. At Anfield, Leeds coped well against a team that set up to dominate possession, and they could do the same here. That day, United’s defence was strong but last week, it weakened. Jesse Marsch will need some top performances to get anything from this.

Leeds are in a much more comfortable position now compared to just two weeks ago. Hopefully the mid-season break will give them time to iron out a few of the worries we’ve seen so far.

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 3 Leeds United 1.

KEITH INGHAM

Leeds finish off this strange start to the season with a trip to the capital to face Spurs and it’s been a stop-start 14 games so far. Three games that will stick in the head for a while – Chelsea, Liverpool and Bournemouth - and quite a few that won’t!

Leeds haven’t a good record at the new Spurs ground – or the old one. I do remember a couple of games that they did well in. 1973/74, the season I started following them. If I remember correctly it was 3-0 to Leeds. The other one that stands out is the 2-2 draw in the FA Cup in the round after the famous victory at Old Trafford.

With six points gained from Liverpool and Bournemouth, Leeds sit three points outside the bottom three, a much better position than any of us thought after not winning in eight games. I’d like a win to take us into the World Cup break but I’d settle for a draw against a good team that still looks strong even considering their latest defeat to Liverpool.

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 2 Leeds United 1.

It was disappointing to go out of a cup competition early again but, since we played a second XI, it was hardly surprising against a Wolves side with just a sprinkling more of regular first teamers. The midweek game thus has little bearing on the trip to London this weekend which will see the return of all those who saw duty in the last two Premier League games.

It would be fantastic if Leeds could continue to build on those wins with at least another point before we take a breather for the World Cup but, even defeat at high-flying Spurs, as long as we give a decent performance, would not be any cause for concern.

Spurs have been erratic. Defeat last time out to Liverpool followed a comeback win against Bournemouth similar to our own; we both came back from two goals down to beat the Cherries. Prior to that Spurs lost two on the trot against Manchester United and at home to Newcastle. A win is possible but, in London, unlikely!

Prediction:Tottenham Hotspur 2 Leeds United 1.

After the excitement of last Saturday and the spirited display by the young guns at Wolverhampton, our heroes return to north London to meet the biggest challenge since … Liverpool. Spurs also exited the Carabao Cup on Wednesday to Nottingham Forest despite fielding a strong side that included Harry Kane and Eric Dier. But we all know that they have more than enough resources in their playing squad to give a tough challenge to Jesse Marsch's refreshed team.

If the Whites display any defensive frailties, they will be exploited by Kane, Richarlison & Co. Any sort of a result for the Whites would represent a major boost going into the World Cup and Christmas break. Unless United get absolutely slaughtered, Marsch should have done just about enough to prevent him from entering the managerial revolving doors. My head says a sound thrashing but I'm going with my heart.

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 2 Leeds United 2.
