The Whites named an unchanged lineup from the one that slumped to a 2-0 defeat against Brighton last weekend, and despite some initial scepticism from supporters, Marcelo Bielsa's decision looked to be vindicated early on when Stuart Dallas gave the home side a 13th minute lead with his eighth goal of the season.

Son Heung-Min equalised for Spurs partway through the first half before Patrick Bamford finished to make it 2-1 minutes prior to the interval.

Record signing Rodrigo added a third late on to wrap up the points.
