The Premier League season began with every game being shown by one of the competition's broadcast partners and available to view via regular TV packages in the country's ongoing battle against coronavirus.

The pay-per-view model was then introduced for the games which followed the October international break, with fans having to fork out £14.95 to watch matches not selected for regular television broadcast in the UK.

The Leeds United Supporters Trust opposed the PPV fee and launched a campaign in aid of Leeds Fans Foodbanks, a partnership between the Trust and two local food banks.

Supporters were challenged to instead donate the £14.95 to the cause and the amount raised now stands at over £90,000.

Two of United's games have been selected for pay per view with both the recent 3-0 win at Aston Villa and this coming Saturday's clash at Crystal Palace shown on BT Sport Box Office.

But the pay per view model is now set to be scrapped with the league understood to be reverting back to the model which was in place at the start of the current season.

Further discussions must still take place with broadcast partners before plans can be confirmed.
