'Toothless' - Vinnie Jones delivers no-nonsense verdict ahead of Leeds clash with Arsenal

The Whites go into the clash having lost their last two Premier League matches, and without a win over the Gunners since 2003.

For their part, Mikel Arteta’s men have lost two of their last three league games, and were soundly beaten 3-0 by Aston Villa just prior to the international break.

In Jones’ view, that result had been a long time coming after a string of underwhelming displays, and the former Elland Road midfielder is in little doubt that his old club can atone for the disappointing 4-1 defeat they suffered against Crystal Palace in their last outing with an eye-catching scalp this weekend.

Speaking to Easy Odds, he said: “I’m confident Leeds can turn Arsenal over.

“The Gunners have been quite toothless of late and got rumbled by Villa.

"No doubt Arteta banged a few heads together after that game, but Leeds at home will do for me.

"That Palace game was a write-off - and not all their fault.”

Marcelo Bielsa’s men go into Sunday’s meeting four places and two points behind the Gunners in the table, but have scored five more goals over the course of their opening eight matches.

The Whites haven’t recorded a win over the North Londoners in their last seven attempts, with their closest effort being a 1-1 FA Cup draw in 2011.

Cesc Fabregas scored a 90th minute penalty to deny Leeds the victory that day, and Arsenal won the replay 3-1.
