And, for a bit of fun, the YEP have simulated Leeds United’s first season back in the Premier League… and there are some pretty crazy goings-on in the virtual world.

Did Leeds United complete any more signings?

Leeds United's real-life transfer policy of signing hungry youngsters translated into the game.

Leeds added three stars during the summer window with Espanyol defender Lluis, 24, arriving for £2.6m, whilst Oviedo’s Riki, 23, arrived for £275k and Daniel Amartey, 26, was loaned from Leicester City for a £375k fee

In January, Celtic attacker Matian Shved, 24, arrived at Elland Road for a cool £3.4m fee.

What about outgoings?

There was a host of outgoings in Leeds Unite’s virtual 2020/21 season.

Adam Forshaw was bought by Cardiff for £135k, whilst defender Conor Shaughnessy was purchased by League One outfit Portsmouth for £61k.

Bright prospects Sam Greenwood, Ian Carlo Poveda and Leif Davies were loaned out to Luton Town, Salford City and Millwall respectively.

Who ended the season as Leeds United manager?

This one was a real shocker.

Having guided the Whites to a mid-table spot by Christmas, manager Marcelo Bielsa was offered the chance to hunt down Barcelona and Real Madrid in La Liga with Spanish club Sevilla.

The Argentine genius accepted their offer, leaving Leeds without a manager. Interestingly, unemployed ex-Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe was the man chosen by the board to succeed Bielsa.

So how did Leeds United do in the Premier League?

Manchester City regained the Premier League title; whilst West Brom, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United suffered relegations.

Leeds United finished a respectable 14th with 40 points, winning 10 games, drawing 10 and losing 18.

Striker Patrick Bamford netted six goals in 32 top-flight outings, despite having already scored seven times in real life so far this season.

What about the FA and League Cup?

In the FA Cup, Leeds United reached the quarter-final having dispatched Cardiff City, Gillingham and Leyton Orient before coming unstuck against Liverpool.

In the League Cup, the Whites defeated Fleetwood Town and Newport County before losing to Championship Bournemouth in the fourth round.
