The TWO high-profile deals the bookmakers are taking bets on Leeds United to secure

The January transfer market is edging closer - and the bookmakers have weighed in on who they think Leeds United could sign.

Like any window, the Whites are nailed on to be linked with a host of names with rumours already doing the rounds in the months leading up to the New Year.

Indeed, director of football Victor Orta said it is likely to be a quiet January at Elland Road but that hasn't deterred the bookmakers.

Whether it is past links, talk of investment or anything else for that matter, bets are already being taken on two emerging stars.

They are Rangers' Alfredo Morelos and RB Salzburg's Erling Haaland.

Morelos has been linked with Marcelo Bielsa's side in passing during the previous window while Haaland's reported allegiances to Leeds have been publicised.

And the bookies' rate a Whites swoop for Morelos at 16/1 while Leeds fan Haaland surprisingly features at 20/1.

A bit ambitious from the bookmakers, perhaps... but never say never?
