Leeds United haven’t released this summer’s retained list yet but the expectation is that the club will be saying farewell to a number of senior players. Tough decisions must be made and with the summer transfer window fast approaching, the club will be busy plotting a route through the next few months.
However, Leeds may also have an eye on those who have just one more year remaining on their current deals. Of course, this summer could be the last chance to pick up a reasonable fee for some of those, while others could be offered new terms to prevent them from venturing too close to the possibility of free agency. Either way, their futures must be considered in the not too distant future.
With that in mind, here’s a look at the nine players at Elland Road who are edging towards the final year of the contracts.

6. Charlie Crew
Crew made his international debut for Wales on Thursday night and Daniel Farke will have been watching on closely. The 17-year-old made it onto the first-team bench this season and his expiring contract suggests a new deal might be on the way soon. | Arsenal FC via Getty Images
