Farke has named un unchanged XI for United’s last two games in which the Whites have picked up just one point via Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home to Coventry City which followed the midweek 1-0 reverse at Sunderland. That one-point return has left Leeds ten points behind Saturday’s visitors Ipswich in the Championship’s second automatic promotion place and 13 points adrift of leaders Leicester City. The Whites are also now level on points with fourth-placed Southampton. Farke has three players out injured in Sam Byram, Jamie Shackleton and longer term absentee Stuart Dallas but a pair have recently returned and the German has lots of options at his disposal for potential changes. It might well be that Farke again names an unchanged side but here we run through an XI that features several of the more likely changes which he may or may not consider.
7. CM: Archie Gray
The 17-year-old has performed admirably at right back considering he is a natural centre midfielder but the re-emergence of Djed Spence now opens up another option upon left back options returning too. Glen Kamara is impressed in centre midfield next to Ampadu but Gray is the obvious alternative for a potential change should Farke so desire. Next alternative Ilia Gruev has only played a bit-part role from the bench. Photo: George Wood
8. RW: Willy Gnonto
An obvious potential change in the front four, although that could be seen as very harsh on Dan James given that the Wales international winger has bagged seven goals and four assists this term. Photo: Jess Hornby
9. LW: Crysencio Summerville
Star man and there's no way he comes out of the side although there is possibly an argument for starting the Dutchman in a more central role. But 'Cree' has already amassed ten goals and six assists from largely starting out wide so there surely wouldn't be a huge temptation to change that. Photo: Ben Roberts Photo
10. ACM: Georginio Rutter
It would be a major surprise if there was a change in personnel upfront, despite the presence of Patrick Bamford, Mateo Joseph, Joe Gelhardt and Ian Poveda as alternatives, or Jaidon Anthony although he would be a wing change. But swapping Rutter and Joel Piroe around from 10 to 9 must at the very least be an option given Rutter's struggles to take chances but excellent creation. The chances are that Farke will keep a tried and tested system as it is but the swap is an option. Photo: George Wood
11. ST: Joel Piroe
The summer signing already has bagged eight goals in Whites colours since his switch to the club and that's upon predominantly starting as a no 10. It's a good return so will Farke stick or twist? Stick in all likelyhood. Photo: Jess Hornby
