United approached the contest knowing that a victory would send them three points clear in first place and establish a six-point cushion in the automatic promotion places with just three games left.
Pablo Hernandez's 89th-minute winner ensured Leeds did just that and the YEP's chief football writer Graham Smyth hands out the scores.
7. Mateusz Klich
7 - Better in the second half than the first, when he was unable to get on the ball and link the play for Leeds. Walked a tightrope sensibly, on a yellow.
8. Helder Costa
6 - Didn't find it easy to create an end product, tried to get at Swansea when he had the chance. Restricted more in the first half.
9. Jack Harrison
7 - Dangerous when Leeds found him. Had a quiet first half, couldn't get into the game. Better in the second half. Put in an astonishing amount of running right to the end. Photo by George Wood/Getty Images
10. Tyler Roberts
6 - Unfortunate once or twice not to have his runs spotted but in general was ineffective in providing an outlet for Leeds. Picture by David Davies/PA Wire
11. Patrick Bamford
6 - Had two chances, the second of which was far clearer than the first and should have brought a goal. Put in his usual shift of hard work.
12. Pablo Hernandez (sub)
8 - It didn't look effortless, he worked as much as anyone else but added real quality. Played some lovely passes. His goal was pure composure.
