Leeds squandered plenty of decent chances in Friday night's clash at Molineux but looked to have equalised after a sublime finish from Bamford who was played through on goal by Tyler Roberts in the 77th minute.

However, the goal was met with an offside flag before being checked by VAR and the equaliser was ruled out.

Bamford looked offside to the naked eye but the VAR freeze frame showed the incident to be a desperately tight call.

Bamford's feet were definitely behind Wolves defender Conor Coady's but the striker's knee was seemingly judged to be in front of Coady's trailing boot according to the VAR lines even though it looked level on the freeze frame.

The Whites no 9 also saw what looked like a perfectly good 'equaliser' in November's 4-1 defeat at Crystal Palace ruled out after being judged offside via his sleeve.

Bamford took to social media shortly after Friday's loss at Molineux and said: "Gutted for the lads tonight, robbed of a point but at least it’s “mAkInG tHe GaMe BeTtEr” we go again Tuesday #mot."
