Three weeks of the January transfer window remain – and the bookmakers are taking bets on who Leeds United and their Premier League rivals could sign in that time.

Marcelo Bielsa and co have until 11pm on Monday, February 1, to finalise their business ahead of second half of the 2020/21 top-flight season.

We take a look at the deals the bookies are tipping the Whites to target this month:

Rodrigo De Paul – 5/1

Leeds’ interest in De Paul has been ongoing since last summer but it remains very unlikely he’ll move to Elland Road this month.

The Argentine was one of the Whites’ top targets a few months back but his rumoured £35million asking price proved a little too high for the newly-promoted club.

Any potential deal has arguably been made more difficult too, with reported interest arriving in the hands of Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan, as well as Liverpool.

Ultimately, Udinese don’t want to sell and it’ll take a sizeable offer to change their mind during the midway point of the campaign.

Danny Rose – 20/1

A homecoming for Rose, anyone?

The England left-back has been frozen out by Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur after he was omitted from their 25-man squad last summer.

The exclusion has left the 30-year-old desperate to revive his career this month, who is severely lacking match sharpness having not played since July whilst on loan at Newcastle United.

That said, he’s out of contract at the end of the season, so Spurs will likely command a small fee for a player who has bags of experience for both club and country.

Ben White – 25/1

Leeds tested Brighton and Hove Albion’s resolve in the summer with three bids for their former loanee, which were subsequently turned down.

The Whites aren’t the only ones fond of the 23-year-old, who is now attracting attention from the so-called big guns after a promising start to his Premier League career.

Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea… you name it, have been linked with the defender but Seagulls boss Graham Potter has maintained he’s not for sale.

A summer transfer saga in the making, we think…

Dele Alli 25/1

It had looked to be the beginning of the end for Alli at Spurs but Mourinho has since hinted that the England international is back in his plans.

The 24-year-old struggled to even make the bench in the opening months of the season before being handed a surprise start in the 5-0 FA Cup win at Marine on Sunday.

A loan move away from North London seemed the most likely option i.e a reunion with former boss Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain, but he could have a big part to play under Mourinho between now and the end of the season.

Marko Arnautovic – 33/1

This is a bit of a random one but Arnautovic has indeed been touted with a return to England in the opening few weeks of the window.

The Austrian left West Ham acrimoniously in 2019 for Chinese outfit Shanghai SIPG and agreed a whopping salary of £5.1million a year after tax.

That wage in itself is enough to price any Premier League team out of a potential swoop, as it reportedly has with David Moyes’ Hammers.

Nevertheless, the bookies are taking bets on Arnautovic joining Leeds, although their odds reflect the likelihood of a transfer.
