Midfielder and Reds captain Henderson missed Liverpool's final four games of last season with a knee issue while Shaqiri (knock) and Tsimikas (ill) have also had problems of late.

Tsimikas, signed from Olympiacos for £11.75m last month, was left out of Greece's squad for their UEFA Nations League fixture against Slovenia as a precautionary measure after illness.

Klopp, though, provided a positive update when asked about the trio with the Reds boss anticipating that several players who could have been involved will have to miss out as part of naming a seven-man bench with the club's internationals having also returned.

Asked about the possibility of Henderson, Shaqiri and Tsimikas featuring against Leeds, Klopp said: "Not finally decided yet.

“They are all in training pretty much, all of them. So we will make late decisions about that, but it looks rather promising than not.

“But we have in the moment a lot of players available, here in training. They all came back now, so not all of them will be involved even if they could be involved, that’s the situation.”
