On Monday, Leeds United completed their final signing of this year’s international transfer window, with Brazilian winger Raphinha coming through the door just before the 11pm deadline.

The 23-year-old, who is dubbed as the next Ronaldinho, signed from ligue 1 side Stade Rennes on a four-year deal, keeping him at Elland Road until the summer of 2024. Raphinha cost the Whites an initial fee of around £17m after an impressive season in France, but after recently being added to the Fantasy Premier League database since his arrival to Leeds, how much will he cost FPL players this year?

So far in this season’s FPL, Leeds have had a few high scoring players, with Patrick Bamford on a whopping 30 points, Helder Costa achieving 24 points and Mateusz Klich collecting 23 points, with all three rated among the highest scoring players in the entire FPL so far.

And earlier, the Official Fantasy Premier League Twitter account revealed the price FPL players will have to pay if they want to add Raphinha in their squads for the 2020/21 season.

The Brazilian is priced at the same amount as Leeds teammate Jack Harrison, a reasonable £5.5 million, which is cheaper than high scorers Klich, Costa and Bamford.

When you compare Raphinha to other players in the Premier League at the same price point, such as Aston Villa’s John McGinn, West Brom’s Callum Robinson and Palace striker Christian Benteke, the 23-year-old looks like he could be a decent addition to anyone's FPL line-ups. Will he be going in your team?
