Hope of a steady and sensible transfer window at Leeds United didn’t last long and with eight days to go until the deadline, recruitment chiefs will only get busier. Those in charge at Elland Road have shown a willingness to leave it late but this is something else, with more than £120million of exits and big gaps left to fill.
But the panic among supporters is seemingly not felt inside the club, and Leeds will continue to work on strengthening Daniel Farke’s squad once Largie Ramazani’s £10m move from Almeria is confirmed. Another attacker is expected to replace Georginio Rutter, while cover is also needed in central midfield and at full-back.
Speculation is really starting to intensify as previously unattainable targets suddenly become available, and club chiefs look to be going after some big names. With all that in mind, the YEP has drawn up what a dream starting line-up might look like come Hull City’s visit to Elland Road on August 31. Take a look below...

7. CM: Dejan Ljubicic
Leeds have had a £3.3m bid rejected and it remains to be seen whether they will return, but the Austrian is into the final 12 months of his contract and reportedly pushing for a move. Definitely one to keep an eye on over the next week, with midfield additions still a priority. | Getty Images

8. RW: Wilfried Gnonto
Been Leeds' best attacker so far cutting in from the left but can operate comfortably on either side. In practice, the Italian will probably move around as part of a fluid trio behind the striker. | Getty Images

9. CAM: Roland Sallai
A name first mentioned in the YEP's Inside Elland Road newsletter on Wednesday, having previously been seen at unattainable. Into the final year of his contract and could leave Freiburg, but will not be short of offers. A regular top-flight footballer with European and international experience. | Getty Images

10. LW: Largie Ramazani
Signed by Leeds as the direct replacement for Crysencio Summerville and so expected to fill his role on the pitch. Bags of potential and a really exciting addition, of that there is no doubt. | Getty Images

11. ST: Mateo Joseph
Done enough to retain his status as first-choice frontman for now but will be feeling the pressure to open his account for the season soon. Has been decent in every other aspect of forward play. | Getty Images
