Former England Schoolboys and Doncaster Rovers striker Watters sits third in the League Two goalscoring charts having netted 13 times and the 21-year-old has bagged 16 in league and cup.

Crawley's technical director Erdem Konyar said last month that there had been interest from clubs both domestically and abroad in the striker's services with Konyar taking phone calls from clubs in England, Germany, France and Belgium.

In England, clubs from both the Premier League and Championship have reportedly been circling with interest in a striker who Konyar initially said was worth £1m but then doubled that estimated valuation.

Watters, though, has missed Crawley's last two games and boss John Yems says the striker is struggling with a hamstring injury.

"We won't make a decision on Max I would say until Sunday morning," said Yems.

"He is going to have a fitness test because he is still struggling, he has pulled a hamstring so we are struggling until Sunday.

"We won't know until then and we will just have to wait and see."

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Yems was also asked for an update over the club's former reality TV star Mark Wright.

Wright had a youth career with West Ham United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur and then signed for Southend United before representing various non league clubs.

Wright then became one of the original cast members of The Only Way Is Essex in 2010 and was then runner up in the following year's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Having already featured for Crawley on loan in the 2006-07 season, 33-year-old Wright then signed for Crawley on non contract terms in December.

Asked when Wright would be seen in action for Crawley, Yems said simply: "I don't know."

Yems has no other injuries to contend with.
