The Premier League reintroduced their twice-weekly testing programme at the start of the year, in response to an increase in positive cases and disruption to fixtures.

Leeds United have twice been without key players due to the virus. Earlier in the season record signing Rodrigo missed a pair of games after testing positive, while goalkeeper Illan Meslier was unavailable for the game against Brighton.

Head coach Marcelo Bielsa revealed earlier today that the 20-year-old Frenchman had 'resolved' his health issue and he was back in training, as evidenced by a video posted on social media by the club yesterday.

The Whites travel to Newcastle United, a club who previously endured a serious outbreak, tomorrow night.

Steve Bruce's side were forced to postpone their December clash with Aston Villa when tests revealed a 'significant' rise in Covid-19 cases and the Premier League board agreed to reschedule the game.
