As we gear up to jump right into the thick of another weekend of Premier League action, the rumour mill shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.

For Leeds United, the January transfer window could represent a great opportunity to fine tune Marcelo Bielsa’s squad as the Whites look to build on the vast promise they have shown in the early stages of this season.

And former England striker Kevin Phillips has mooted the possibility of Leeds United making a double swoop in the near future.

Speaking to Football Insider, the pundit has talked up the prospect of Leeds signing a replacement for veteran talisman Pablo Hernandez in the January transfer window, as well as suggesting that a move to bring Tottenham Hotspur outcast Danny Rose back to his boyhood club could be beneficial for all parties involved.

Rose hasn’t played for Jose Mourinho’s Spurs side this season, while Hernandez has been limited to just four top flight outings for the Whites.

Wolves striker Patrick Cutrone could leave the club in January, with Torino interested in signing him. The forward is currently on loan at Fiorentina, but has failed to make an impact with the Serie A side, and could see that deal cut short to seal a permanent exit. (Tuttosport)

Former Newcastle United loanee Jetro Willems has opened the door to the prospect of rejoining the Magpies in the January transfer window. The full-back told a Dutch talk show: “[It’s] A wonderful club. In terms of history, stadium, Geordies, that accent is nice. I hope to be able to go to England. That suits me.
