Pablo Hernandez has saluted everyone in the Leeds United family after the club clinched promotion to the Premier League this weekend.

Marcelo Bielsa's side made history on Friday evening without kicking a ball in anger as West Bromwich Albion fell to a shock defeat at Huddersfield Town.

The result meant that 16 years of hurt was brought to an end as for the Whites as they returned to the top flight.

Leeds were then crowned champions of the second division as Brentford lost at Stoke City before United's visit to Derby County on Sunday.

Bielsa made seven changes for the clash with the Rams and watched his side secure a 3-1 victory before post-match celebrations commenced on the pitch afterwards.

Hernandez - who has played a key role for Leeds this term - reflected on the achievement in Derbyshire as he struck in the victory.

"It's been amazing," he admitted.

"It's unbelievable for everybody in Leeds.

"We've waited a long time to arrive to this moment and now it's time to enjoy it.

"We achieve this goal together. From the first people in the club to the last one. From the staff to the players. From the staff at Elland Road and at Thorp Arch.

"All the fans, everybody. We are all a family. We have achieved this together. Now we need to celebrate together too."
