The owner of a popular 'Leeds United bar' in Malaga has described the rapturous celebrations following the team's famous Championship win.

Mick Holmes owns Bar 64 in Benalmádena - the home of the 'Malaga Whites'.

He told how more than 60 fans gathered to celebrate the final result and promotion to the Premier League.

Mick told the Yorkshire Evening Post the bar - home to the 'Malaga Whites' - was 'bouncing' with celebrations.

He said: "The atmosphere was heady in the knowledge we had both qualified for promotion and the title.

"Most were just so happy, the match and drinks flowed and the score reflected the mood.

"As the trophy was lifted loads were chanting and the cava was flowing....proper party time.

"We had lads out on a trip from Leeds but also lads from Barnsley and Keighley Whites Peter - who is 83 years young."

Jimmy Lyons was one of the fans in the bar on the night promotion was confirmed with his 15-year-old twins.

He told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "[It was] just a smashing night, cheap ale, sun and even some free food.

"My 15-year-old twins loved it.

"I don't think the restaurant next door were too impressed with the noise though."

After celebrating the incredible promotion and championship win, Mick decided to get his first ever tattoo on his leg.The tattoo reads 'Leeds United EFL Champions 2020' with the famous smiley badge.

Mick attributed the idea for the tattoo as the 'Bielsa effect'.

He told the Yorkshire Evening Post how more than 60 fans gathered to celebrate the victory at his bar.

Mick has owned the bar for the past year and followed the team's amazing exploits throughout the season.

Hundreds of fans took to social media to praise the tattoo.

One said: "I love it!"

Another added: "Looks cracking mate!"
