Outcry from Leeds United fans as EA reveal Elland Road is not in FIFA 21

In a statement released on their website, EA said the 'later than planned end to the 2019/20 season' meant they were unable to recreate Elland Road in time for launch.

The section of the statement on the website said: "While the later than planned end to the 2019/20 season meant we weren’t able to recreate Elland Road in an EA SPORTS FIFA game for the first time ever in time for the launch of FIFA 21, we are committed to giving fans the chance to play in all 20 Premier League stadiums and will provide more news on post-launch updates in the future."

Fans who had been waiting 16 years for their shot at the premier league again have been left angry at the news.

Many were excited to see the stadium recreated in the game for the first time ever.

One fan said: "This is a joke from EA.

"Imagine 16 Years to get in the top flight and no proper stadium."

Another added: "Not like Leeds were top of the championship for most of last season.

"At least let there be Bielsa on his bucket!"

The full statement released by EA said: "In FIFA 21, we’re excited to include five new stadiums to play in, with a sixth still to come. While the later than planned end to the 2019/20 season meant we weren’t able to recreate Elland Road in an EA SPORTS FIFA game for the first time ever in time for the launch of FIFA 21, we are committed to giving fans the chance to play in all 20 Premier League stadiums and will provide more news on post-launch updates in the future.

Play in your team’s ground in Kick-Off Mode, throughout Career Mode, or add your favourite stadium to your club in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team via FUT packs or the Transfer Market.

"But that’s not all. Beyond the spotlight of the stadium, you’ll also be able to experience authentic street football in over 20 footballing playgrounds from around the world in VOLTA FOOTBALL - including five new locations for FIFA 21: Sydney, Paris, Dubai, São Paulo, and Milan."
