Leeds United visit Carrow Road to face Norwich City this evening hoping to extend their good start to the 2024/25 Championship season by winning a fifth game in eight.

United will be without club captain Ethan Ampadu for the foreseeable future, however, due to a lateral collateral ligament injury picked up in the 3-0 win over Coventry City last weekend.

The Wales international is expected to miss a minimum of ten weeks and will not return to the field until the New Year. It leaves Daniel Farke with a defensive conundrum of sorts, particularly if either of Pascal Struijk or Joe Rodon pick up injuries in the meantime as back-up central defender Max Wober has undergone surgery on a meniscus problem and will also be out for six weeks.

Norwich have scored seven in their last two outings, suggesting Leeds will need to be at their best defensively to keep the Canaries out. Although, the Whites do boast the best defensive record in the division with just 3.6 Expected Goals Conceded (xGC) over their seven games so far.

66' Gnonto down in the box after a swipe from McLean. Lets out a scream we heard from the press box. Ref plays on, doesn't think it's a foul, and Aaronson blazes over the top. Gnonto says something in the aftermath the official doesn't like. Yellow.

GOOOOOALLLLLLL RAMAZANI 1-1

60' Cometh the hour, cometh the man. Gnonto receives a ball from Struijk between lines, turns to face goal, feeds Ramazani who makes no mistake with a low strike. Level.

59’ Doyle rises highest at a Norwich corner but plants his header over the crossbar.

57' Rothwell seizes on possession just outside the Norwich area after the hosts give it up cheaply but rifles his shot straight at Angus Gunn. Great opportunity to level things up.
