Mo Salah salutes 'huge' Leeds United feat in seven-goal thriller at Liverpool
MO SALAH admitted Leeds United were a tough team and that the Whites had achieved something huge in netting three times against his Liverpool side in Saturday's 4-3 Anfield thriller.
Newly-promoted Leeds were handed a baptism of fire on their Premier League return after a 16-year absence at defending champions Liverpool but fought back to level three times through Jack Harrison, Patrick Bamford and Mateusz Klich.
Marcelo Bielsa's Whites were ultimately undone for good after Salah blasted home his second penalty of the game in the 88th minute to complete a hat-trick and the forward paid tribute to United's talents after walking off with the match ball.
"Without fans it's so tough – especially at Anfield, everybody knows that. But it's a good start for us," Salah told Sky Sports.
“A tough team, they press high as well, so the intensity was really high. We had a good game.
“We shouldn't have conceded three but this is the game, we have to react for that and we did a good job.
“It's a tough team, to be fair. They had a great game, especially away. There's no fans but the way they play, they react really well and they scored three goals against us – that's huge.
“I'm happy about the result and we have to keep on improving and try not to concede as many goals.”
