Sources in both Poland and the USA suggest that Wayne Rooney’s DC United are ‘finalising a deal’ which is ‘not 100 per cent done but close’. Klich scored a brilliant 88th-minute winner in Thursday night’s mid-season break friendly against Spanish hosts Elche but the midfielder has had limited game time this season and missed out on Poland’s squad for the Qatar World Cup. Whites boss Jesse Marsch was asked about Klich’s future after Thursday’s victory against Elche. He said: “It's not totally clear yet. I think we should hold off on saying anything about that. Obviously, there's been some conversations but nothing's concrete yet, and obviously there's a lot of love for Mateusz in the group. He's an incredible person. So we like him."
