Michael Cuisance has refuted claims that he failed a medical ahead of his collapsed move to Leeds United in this summer's transfer window.

The Bayern Munich midfielder looked set to swap the Bundesliga giants for Elland Road in a deal worth £20m until unforeseen complications emerged.

United pulled out of a deal late on after the 21-year-old had travelled to England to complete a medical following successful negotiations with last season's Champions League winners.

Initial reports suggested there had been an issue over the money involved between the two clubs before claims over a failed medical and an underlying injury surfaced.

Leeds moved on elsewhere in the transfer market opting to make no official comment over the speculation.

The club in LS11 instead landed the signature of winger Raphinha on deadline day from Stade Rennes which signalled the end of their international transfer business.

Cuisance, meanwhile, sealed a loan move to Marseille with the Ligue 1 outfit holding an option to make his move permanent next year.

Following his arrival in France, the midfielder moved to dismiss claims over the reasons behind his failed transfer to West Yorkshire.

“There were no problems with the medical visit," Cuisance told RMC Sport.

"I had one in Marseille and it went really well. There was no problem on my end.

"After that, I don't know any more. Here I passed it and I am in good shape."

Leeds could still add a central midfielder to their ranks should they wish to do so with the domestic transfer window between the Premier League and EFL remaining open until October 16.
