Match officials confirmed for Leeds United's Premier League return against Liverpool

Referee Michael Oliver will take charge of Leeds United's first Premier League outing in 16 years at Liverpool.

Marcelo Bielsa's side make the trip to Anfield on Saturday evening (17:30) for an encounter with Jurgen Klopp's men in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

The Whites ended years of hurt in July as they earned promotion from the Championship as title winners by a 10-point margin.

It will be United's first top flight clash since 2004 when the first whistle is blown on Merseyside.

Oliver has been handed the task of taking charge of the match alongside assistants Stuart Burt and Simon Bennett.

The Ashington-born referee handed out 105 yellow cards in 32 Premier League outings last season but failed to send a single player off.

Mike Dean will act as fourth official while Paul Tierney and Andy Halliday will be on hand for VAR.
