Leeds United and Marcelo Bielsa have come a long way in just two years, and following the Championship break amid the coronavirus pandemic the goal that was put in front of the Argentine head coach as he signed in 2018 remains the same as it is today; to reach the Premier League. Here, we take a look back at some of his best moments so far...
7. QPR defeat
Feb, 19 - Following a defeat at Loftus Road which hit United's promotion hopes hard, Bielsa was snapped by our photographer in the tunnel.
8. Sweet revenge
Mar, 19 - After the embarrassment of the reverse fixture, United got their revenge with a 4-0 demolition of West Brom which included a Pablo Hernandez goal after 16 seconds.
9. FIFA Fair Play award
Apr, 19 - Another incident which thrust Leeds front and centre in the world of football. United scored with a Villa player down 'injured', Bielsa allowed the visitors to restore parity. Leeds won a FIFA award for the act.
10. Play-off heartbreak
May, 19 - After a late season collapse of results, United were defeated in crushing style by Derby County in the Championship play-offs.
11. Bielsa stays on
May, 19 - After days of speculation following the defeat, Bielsa committed to Elland Road for a second campaign.
12. Centenary celebrations
Oct, 19 - United started well again and Bielsa led the club through the 100 year celebrations with a win over Birmingham City, fittingly Kalvin Phillips scored the winner.
