Having played most of the season without a recognised left-back, Robinson believes Rose, who hasn’t played in the Premier League since July, is an option for Bielsa.

The Whites have struggled with defensive injuries in recent weeks with Diego Llorente and Robin Kock both on the sidelines.

Robinson told MOT Leeds: “If there’s an opportunity to bring Rose in and if he’s hungry to play and maybe force himself into the England set-up…

“He’s not going to get anywhere near the squad if he’s not playing football and he’s not going to any first-team football where he is at the moment.

“Coming back to Leeds should be an option that’s very attractive to him

“He’s played here before and it’s a position where Leeds have struggled this year.

Stuart Dallas, as good a utility man as he is, isn’t a natural left-back.

“Gjanni Alioski has struggled defensively and it’s a flank where teams are targeting us.

Danny Rose could be a really good addition if he’s available.”
