The Portuguese winger had a slight knee issue, while Dallas picked up a glute problem in the draw with Luton Town last week. Both missed out on Saturday when Leeds went to Blackburn Rovers and won 3-1, with Gjanni Alioski and Barry Douglas taking their places.

But if Costa and Dallas don't make it, their Ewood Park replacements will remain in the starting XI.

Alioski has impressed in each of his appearances since the restart, while Douglas made only his fifth start of the season in Lancashire and looked close to his best.

"Probably they play," said Bielsa of the recovered duo.

"Today they trained normally. But in case they are not able to play, Douglas and Alioski are going to play instead of them."

Bielsa is grateful to have players who can step into the side if others fall victim to injury, in the Championship run in.

Leeds require 10 points from their final five matches to secure promotion, but defeats for Brentford could see the Whites secure Premier League status before the final game against Charlton Athletic.

"In this period of nine matches, we know that every team is going to need at least 15, 16 players," he said.

"The important thing for us is when we have to make a substitution, any substitution, the player who comes on has a positive performance. These are the most important of the games that Douglas, Pablo [Hernandez] and Alioski have played."
