Marcelo Bielsa gives fellow Argentinian and Leeds United fan a souvenir after posing for a photo at a Wetherby cafe

Luciano Manfrinato was in the shop with his manager and a client when someone told him the Whites' manager was also inside.

"I honestly didn’t expect to see him there - I was shocked."

Bielsa is well known for his frugal lifestyle, living in a simple flat in the town, walking to the Thorp Arch training ground and dining in local restaurants.

Luciano added: "I didn’t want to interrupt him but I really wanted to meet him so, my coach encouraged me to go. I approached him and apologised for interrupting him. I introduced myself and said that I was Argentinian."

Bielsa asked what part of Argentina Luciano was from and after the starstruck fan said he supported Leeds United, Bielsa agreed to a photo.

Luciano added: "As soon as we took the picture, he said ;so you’re a fan of Leeds? Here, this is for you'.

"He got a souvenir out of his bag, from the club’s 100 year anniversary and gave it to me.

"I just thanked him and left as I didn’t want to take more of his time.

"Overall, and as expected, he was very polite and kind."

But Luciano, who is also a songwriter and producer, doesn't want to stop there.

Bielsa himself admits his English skills are not the best - so Luciano has offered his services as an interpreter, free of charge.

After posting the picture of himself and Bielsa online, Luciano received many messages.

He added: "I then received a message from an unknown person who passed me on an email address from one of Marcelo’s members of staff.

"I emailed him to offer my services as an interpreter and translator, but didn’t get a reply yet.

"The next day I went to the training ground to deliver a letter I wrote for Marcelo and I hope he receives it!"
