Sheffield-born Walker played the full 90 minutes of Saturday's Premier League clash against Leeds at Elland Road which ended in a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes of end to end football.

Leeds initially had to withstand a barrage of City pressure in the opening quarter and trailed to a Raheem Sterling strike but came roaring back in a game which featured 35 attempts at goal between the two sides.

Record signing Rodrigo's first goal for the club ensured that Leeds left with a point and the contest as a whole left 30-year-old Walker somewhat perplexed.

"Leeds, I promise you, is the weirdest game," said Walker, speaking on the ITV Football Show Podcast to Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend.

"It's like basketball.

"I couldn't believe it. Raheem was playing on the left and then he goes over to the right and the right back is going over the right with him.

"It's incredible.

"But I think they have got a system that works to obviously achieve what they achieved in the Championship and then coming up and then doing it in the Premiership as well."
