Jones' relegation battlers held Marcelo Bielsa's Championship front-runners Leeds to a 1-1 draw at Elland Road on Tuesday evening as part of a night that saw United's cushion in the automatic promotion spots trimmed to six points.

Brentford, in third, continued their relentless progress the same evening with a 3-0 romp at Reading which put the Bees just two points behind second-placed West Brom ahead of their Wednesday night clash at Sheffield Wednesday.

Fulham also enjoyed a 2-1 success at QPR on Tuesday evening to stay two points behind Brentford in fourth but Jones thinks it will be two from three out of Leeds, West Brom and Brentford and believes United will be home and hosed if injuries are kind.

"I think the only thing that will stop Leeds going up are injuries and bad luck," Jones told the YEP.

"That's the only thing and I don't mean to be disrespectful because West Brom are a wonderful side, very structured, they have got good players.

"There's Fulham and Brentford are coming strong now and are in real form so I think it's two from three.

"But for me there are two sides that I think can really hurt you, really rip you apart and that's Brentford and Leeds and then West Brom are just a real good side with good players, well organised with a good manager.

"It's two from three really.

"I am not a betting man, I'm a Christian but if I was then I would definitely put Leeds and one of the others."
