Dallas saw minutes at right-back, left midfield, centre midfield and left-back in an action-packed evening for the Cookstown native.

Captain Steven Davis missed a first half penalty for the hosts while the visitors struck the woodwork in the early exchanges before the two played out a stalemate in Belfast.

The Green and White Army saw their automatic qualification hopes for Euro 2020 ended with the result but could still yet qualify for next summer's tournament through the play-offs in March.

"I think I did it a few weeks ago for Leeds," Dallas joked about his positional changes.

"The manager just tells me what to do and I go and do it. I'm just lucky to be playing for my country. I'm in a privileged position and you don't turn these opportunities down.

"I love playing for them. Emotions are still a bit raw because we put so much into that game yet again but there are positives to take."

On the draw with Ronald Koeman's outfit, he added: "We're disappointed we didn't win the game.

"We're proud of the performance, we've gone toe-to-toe with one of the best in the world.

"We probably could've won the game. Second half they had a lot of the ball but there's a lot of positives to take into Tuesday now against Germany.

"It's another good performance from us. We've come a long when we come off disappointed that we didn't get a result tonight."
