Leeds United were scheduled to host Manchester City at Elland Road on Boxing Day this year, however that fixture has now been moved to Wednesday, December 28 with a new kick-off time of 8pm.
The game has been selected for live television broadcast by Amazon Prime Video and has impacted subsequent fixtures in Leeds’ festive calendar. The Whites are still scheduled to play Newcastle United three days later on New Year’s Eve, but the team’s game against West Ham United at Elland Road will also be moved in order to ‘protect rest periods between match rounds 18 and 19’, according to the Premier League.
