Leeds United moved three points clear at the top of the division and established an eight-point cushion in the automatic promotion spots with Saturday's 3-0 win at home to Fulham who have now dropped to fifth behind Nottingham Forest with Brentford now third.
So what are the latest odds with SkyBet for the sides in the division's top half plus 13th-placed Sheffield Wednesday to be playing Premier League football next season and how do we see the promotion race unfolding? Lee Sobot takes a look.
7. Derby County - 25-1
The Rams are up to eighth having won their last four and now just three points off the play-offs. It's not hard to see Wayne Rooney and company gatecrashing the top six and United's game at Pride Park could be a cracker. Photo by Ross Kinnaird/Getty Images.
8. Cardiff City - 8-1
Dark horses who are on the up with the Bluebirds now three points clear in the division's final play-off place. Miles off second - 11 points - but could be hard to budge from the top six under Neil Harris. Photo by Alex Livesey/Getty Images.
9. Nottingham Forest - 11-2
Now fourth and above Fulham after Sunday's win against Huddersfield Town. Seven points off second and also seven points ahead of seventh and looking like bankers for the play-offs. 50-1 for automatic promotion. Photo by Laurence Griffiths/Getty Images.
10. Fulham - 2-1
Dealt a hammer blow by Leeds and, like Forest, are now seven points off both second and seventh. The Cottagers are now 20-1 for automatic promotion. Wouldn't rule it out but it looks like play-offs. Photo by Martin Rickett/PA Wire.
11. Brentford - 4-5
A very good team who are now third, five points behind West Brom and eight behind Leeds. Don't expect them to drop many points. Only 11-4 for automatic promotion and if there's any slip-ups from above they will be in. Photo by Justin Setterfield/Getty Images.
12. West Brom - 1-7
Hugely talented but wobbling and now three points behind Leeds and only five ahead of Brentford with Fulham at home still to play. Still short at 2-9 for the autos and ought to have enough in hand but it could be very close. Photo by Catherine Ivill/Getty Images.
