As the song goes, Leeds have been through many ups and downs over the past quarter of a century, from the heady heights of a UEFA Champions League semi-final to the depths of League One and embarrassing FA Cup eliminations.
The club are currently on an upward trajectory with Daniel Farke and the 49ers steadying the ship following last season’s relegation from the Premier League. The YEP tasked its Leeds following to come up with their most important and influential players of the past 25 years with supporters responding in their droves.
Here are the Whites’ most influential players of the past 25 years in alphabetical order.

10. Stuart Dallas
Pictured scoring his most famous goal for this club, Stuart Dallas is - and will remain - a fan favourite at Elland Road. Versatile, hard-working, down to earth and excellent on his day, it will be some sight witnessing the Northern Irishman make a return to the pitch after almost two years out injured, hopefully later this season. 11. Rio Ferdinand
A controversial nomination to the list but considering Ferdinand's impact during the short time he spent at Elland Road, some supporters have named him as one of the more important players in recent times. (Pic: Alex Livesey/ALLSPORT) Photo: Alex Livesey

12. Ian Harte
Free-kick and spot-kick extraordinaire, Ian Harte is fondly remembered for his goalscoring from full-back in Leeds colours. (Photo By Ben Radford/Getty Images) Photo: Ben Radford
