Leeds United's live stream audience '10 times' bigger than at other Championship clubs

Leeds United chief executive Angus Kinnear has revealed the huge audience the Whites have enjoyed for their live streams.

Only two of Leeds' games since the restart have not been televised live on Sky - the visit of Luton Town and the trip to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

For both of those, Kinnear says the audience was greater than the capacity of Elland Road.

Writing in his programme notes he said the absence of supporters was keenly felt at Ewood Park.

"The 7,000 fans who would have been at Blackburn were sorely missed, but Victor appears to have taken responsibility for channelling your support to become a one man away end," he wrote in his programme notes for this evening's game at home to Stoke City.

"Even behind-closed-doors, the scale of our support is not in doubt, for both non-Sky games we had over 40,000 commit to a live stream - 10 times the level of any other Championship club."
